About
Adilene Rosales
Artist · Educator · Activist
Adilene Rosales is a Mission, Texas–based artist whose poignant ceramic sculptures and immersive installations confront the emotional and physical landscapes of childhood cancer. Deeply personal and powerfully evocative, her work transforms materials commonly associated with medical settings—gauze, IV tubing, sterile plastics—into tender, figurative forms that echo the resilience and vulnerability of young patients.
Blending art and advocacy, Rosales creates spaces for reflection, empathy, and action. Her installations often include collaborations with oncology families, offering not only visibility to their experiences but also a platform for community dialogue and support. Each piece is both a tribute to those affected and a compelling call to invest in pediatric cancer research.
Rosales holds an MFA from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, where she now mentors emerging artists and fosters socially engaged creative practices. Her work is grounded in compassion and community—a testament to art’s capacity to heal, empower, and transform public consciousness.
